Customers confused over travel cover
Industry Insurance News - Published: 31/01/2008

MoneyExpert.com says that its research shows that 12 per cent of GB adults are clueless about what is included in their standard contract.
This includes amounts of medical cover and whether or not there was any protection if passports were lost.
Sean Gardner, from the website, said that with more travellers venturing further afield and trying more adventurous pursuits, it was a concern that many did not understand their policy.
He added: "Obviously a white water rafting holiday poses more of a risk than a beach holiday in Spain so it's vital that people consider exactly what activities they're going to be doing, and then choose their policy accordingly.
"If they don't they risk a serious pay out should something go wrong."
The research also shows that 34 per cent of people would not expect to get a refund on a late or cancelled flight, train or ferry, however only three per cent of policies do not offer at least some compensation.
